Traditional Flat Wound 4 String Set

The Dogal Traditional Flatwound set has been in production since 1959. Its steel round core is wrapped with copper and a layer of iron and chrome. The use of copper – which affects the string’s magnetic field – results in a distinctive ‘round and warm’ timbre. Each individual string is treated by hand to achieve the smoothest and most even surface in order to increase playability and longevity.

The use of high quality magnetic components and traditional hand-made manufacturing techniques make these strings soft and perfectly smooth, ideal for the typical tones of the ’60s and ’70s.
